From David and Joyce Erber in Nigeria

“Recently, Joyce and I [David] spend an evening with one of our Master of Christian Outreach (MACO) students. He shared how he prayed that God would increase his passion for telling one other person, just one other person, about the Savior. Then, while walking down the street, our student selected a random ‘street person.’ He decided was going to share the Gospel with this homeless man. He started to look for opportunities to pass down the street where the man lives. The student started by simply waving to the man on his way by. Then he progressed to saying ‘good morning.’ Then he began to stop and chat to learn the man’s name and bit by bit establish a relationship with him and get to know him. He is confident that God will give him just the opportunity he needs to share Jesus Christ with this man.
“Just when our student thought this man was the person he was supposed to witness to, God put a lady in his path. He had never seen this lady before. The first time he saw her, he noticed her because she looked like the most forlorn and hopeless person he had ever seen. Then, later in the day, on his way home from work, he saw her on his street where he lives. Then, that evening, he attended his local church convention and he found her behind the church watching what was going on through a window. The third time he saw her, he realized God was putting her in his path and he started to talk with her and finding out what is going on in her life.
“Now our student finds he has so much evangelism work to do that it’s hard to get other things done-like his MACO assignments (which he also needs to get done). His goal this year is to share the Gospel with 150 people! We find great encouragement in what God is doing in the lives of our MACO students!”
