Pastors from all over Taiwan give their blessings to Pastor Alex Wu during his May 3rd installation at Salvation Lutheran Church in Chaiyi, Taiwan.  Salvation Lutheran Church is a member of the China Evangelical Lutheran Church Taiwan (CELC), a partner church body of the LCMS.  Pastor Wu is a graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis and has served as a full-time minister in Taiwan since 2000 alongside his musically-gifted wife, Ruth.  

The city of Chiayi is also home to Concordia Middle School, a Lutheran school operated by the CELC that serves over 2,000 students from pre-school through high school.  The school partners with LCMS World Mission GEO missionaries, who teach English and religion classes alongside the local teachers.
