Hi:
I am on the Board of Trustees at Peace Lutheran Church, 1661 Janesville Ave., Fort Atkinson, WI 53538. We are a very small congregation of 50. Many of our members are seniors leaving just a few of us for active duty. We are looking for an outreach that we can handle with a few able bodied people. Each of us at church handles multiple duties and each of us is involved with finding an outreach that as a congregation we can pursue. Since I had read about your project in one of the periodicals, I volunteered to get information. Hence this e-mail. I am not sure if this is the project for us or how to get started so any information will be valuable. We do not have any members in the military although, my husband served in Viet Nam and retired from the Army Reserves.
In the past we have collected toiletries, candy, etc. and shipped overseas to individuals if we had individual names and to Chaplains for dispersal.
Thanks so much for your time.
Kate Harley
