The Ablaze! Partners Network (www.ablazepartners.net) is now live and ready for you! This online community of practice for Lutherans seeking to share the Good News of Jesus is self-described as: “Lutheran congregational leaders and church body staff promoting and discussing best practices to improve mission in these five basic areas of congregational life: worship, discipleship, outreach, service, and church leadership.”

Ablaze! Partners Network is a ministry of Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church, North Royalton, Ohio, and is looking to include thousands of passionate Lutheran mission advocates and leaders from across the United States and even the world.

The site supports three types of communication:

• posted resources that users have found to be a best practice in their area of interest. These can be articles, study outlines, worship series, dramas, or videos.
• discussion forums, in which a user can post a blog about a personal ministry experience or a recommended resource, and others can respond. One such discussion already underway is on the use of Twitter® and twittering in worship services; look under the category of ‘Media in Worship.’
• support for hosting online seminars in a person’s field of expertise. The Network aims to facilitate online seminars that present best practices through providing a Webinar platform and help for a presenter to learn how to use the platform, publicize the Webinar, and collect fees the presenter expects.

Those wanting to comment on the potential for this Web site might offer a posting under Home > Forums > Church Leadership > Website Development. To do so, users need to register online and are encouraged to describe their background and church interests.
