Christel Neuendorf, a GEO missionary serving in Panama, writes:
“My home congregation, New Life Community Lutheran Church in Swartz Creek, Mich., raised pennies during their vacation Bible school to purchase bilingual Bibles for the students in my English classes in Panama.
Every class that I have either translates passages from the Bible, or uses the Bible as references in our discussions after a devotion has been lead by a national church leader. ESL isn’t really about English here, but about sharing the Gospel with those who attend. With these Bibles, the students are able to have their own copy of the Word of God that they can use not only as a tool to learn another language, but as a guide in their lives. It has been an incredible opportunity to see the Holy Spirit working and a true testament to see the Gospel in its purest form, changing lives.
