Kyrgyz Lutheran partners and LCMS missionaries are safe following the outbreak of large-scale protests in early April in Kyrgyzstan-a small Central Asia nation that was formerly part of the Soviet Union.Other LCMS workers usually based in the area were either out of the country at the time the protests broke out or serving in an area untouched by the violence.
