Dr. Stephen (Steve) A. Lutz, missionary doctor to Papua New Guinea for more than a quarter of a century, passed from this life and entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, June 15, 2010, at his brother’s home in Wolcottville, Ind. Steve, 60, is survived by his wife, Julie (nee Behrens), children, Anton, Paul and Rebecca, Laura and Nathan, and David, and other dear family members.
The next Church Planter Assessment Center (CPAC) is scheduled for Aug. 1-3, 2010, at Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church in Omaha, Neb. Registration for this insightful experience is open until July 12, 2010. The CPAC is a powerful tool for clarifying whether a person’s capacities are a good fit for church-planting ministry.

LCMS President Gerald Kieschnick will present six veteran LCMS missionary couples to the LCMS Convention in July 2010 to be honored for their years of faithful service to the Lord. These missionaries have served a total of more than 220 years through LCMS World Mission.
