LCMS World Mission is pleased to share that missionary Bruce M. Wall was awarded the 2010 Church Leadership in Outreach alumni award from Concordia University, Nebraska. Each year, the Concordia alumni council, on behalf of the alumni association, selects an individual for this award.  The church leadership in outreach award specifically recognizes an alumnus who currently serves in a unique or challenging ministry which reaches out to a segment of population in new and creative ways in the service of The Lutheran Church—Missouri  Synod.

Jan Koopman, director of alumni, university and church relation services shares, “Bruce Wall is a fitting recipient of this award because of his professional and volunteerism efforts while a student at Concordia. This continued with Bruce as a new teacher in Orlando, Fla., and because of his work with LCMS World Mission in the past and now as he serves in Peru, Panama, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica.”

Bruce and his wife Sarah serve through LCMS World Mission in Latin America. They are based out of Panama, but their ministry touches the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Peru. As the area facilitator for these countries, Bruce facilitates and supports the work of missionaries and partner churches, works alongside missionaries to develop strategic mission plans, identifies ministry needs, and supports missionaries in the development of skills and further formation.

LCMS World Mission celebrates with the Wall family and gives thanks and praise to God for Bruce’s faithful service on the mission field in Latin America.
