Serve Now Spotlight: China
Summer English Program
Concordia English Center (CEC) in Macau is looking for missionaries this summer! CEC is continually looking for ways to further serve their community through English-as-a-Foreign Language (EFL) classes. This summer they hope to provide a four-week program for primary children. Teachers are needed to teach small groups of children in two sessions, morning and afternoon. If enough teachers are found, EFL classes may also be taught in high schools. Teachers will have the opportunity to participate in outreach activities sponsored by CEC and the local congregation. This includes teaching in the Saturday and Sunday night free classes and visiting in the community. This is an ideal opportunity for education majors or others who are looking for a positive way to make a difference this summer!
Service Coordinator
LCMS World Mission is in need of an individual to serve in China as a service coordinator for 1-2 years. You will be helping to perform the daily tasks involved in this human care mission. It would be ideal, though not essential, that you have limited work proficiency level in Mandarin Chinese and have training in development, social work or outreach. You will be working with one of our partners, CWEF. For more information about the work that CWEF does, check out their website: www.cwef.org.hk.
