Though our team usually goes to Lunahuaná twice a month, this month, we took a three-day trip as a team in order to spend more time with the group that gathers every other week. The first night, we met with the core group of adults that attend Bible class and worship most weeks in order to talk more in depth about the upcoming year and to get feedback from them about the gatherings. The group also opted to begin organizing Bible studies during the weeks when we are not there and to start taking an offering during their worship service. Miguel and Lucho were given responsibility to carry out those two decisions. For the second night we were in Lunahuaná, we organized a Christmas party with the core group of attendees and invited the whole community. We listened to the Christmas story from Luke 2, watched a 15-minute movie about Christ’s birth, and enjoyed hot chocolate and Peruvian sweet bread. We ended the visit on a Wednesday in order to conclude with Bible study and worship. What a great week!
