India became the first foreign mission field of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod in 1895. Over the next 50 years, many LCMS missionaries served in India and founded schools. The buildings built during the tenure of the missionaries have fallen into disrepair and have been eaten by termites.
Seth and Shannon Hoeppner serve as GEO missionaries in Battambang, Cambodia. (GEO missionaries are Globally Engaged in Outreach for 1-2 years). The Hoeppners work with Trinity Lutheran Church in Battambang, teaching English and sharing the Gospel.
