In the midst of the chaos following the Feb. 27 earthquake and resulting tsunami, leaders and members of the Confessional Lutheran Church of Chile (IELCHI) remain focused on how they can minister to each other and to others in their communities.
The president of the LCMS’ Chilean partner church body said his members and pastors are safe following the Feb. 27 8.8 magnitude earthquake even as the church body’s assessment of damage continues.
“We had a work plan for January: Stephen Ministry classes, Bible studies, confirmation classes, appointments, etc. Then, on Jan. 12, the earth shook and all eyes turned toward Haiti, with good reason.
