Matt and his wife Rebecca (Dee Dee), along with their daughters, Lily and Olivia, live in Taiwan. Their work involves overseeing support and programmatic needs for the GEO missionaries at the Concordia School System–Taiwan and for the GEO missionaries in Japan of the Volunteer Youth Ministry (VYM) program. They facilitate short-term mission opportunities with the goal of enhancing existing ministries in other Asian countries, look for ways to involve US churches in overseas ministry, and strive to create and maintain effective strategies for sharing the Gospel with those in their community and beyond. Presently, they also are involved in working with the Lutheran Church in Korea to develop sustainable short-term and long-term ministry opportunities.
